Birgit Kopainsky

I am a professor in System Dynamics at the University of Bergen. In my research, I explore the role that system dynamics can play in facilitating transformation processes in social-ecological systems such as the transformation towards sustainable and resilient agri-food systems. I have used group model building in a wide variety of private and public sector settings, in Europe as well as in developing countries.

Anaely Aguiar

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Bergen. My research applies a systems approach to provide a better understanding of how different societal factors, stakeholders, and institutions associated with childhood and adolescent obesity interact at various levels, and it aims to create, inform and disseminate preventive evidence-based policies to reduce obesity prevalence. I have designed and facilitated several GMB sessions on various topics and settings. I am fascinated by stakeholder engagement and exploring participatory processes towards problem-solving and innovation strategies.

Brooke Wilkerson

My background includes ecology, land use planning, and system dynamics. I’ve worked as a senior land use planning advisor for the Norwegian government, an ecology researcher, and a botanist/forest ecologist for The Nature Conservancy. I’m currently working on a PhD connecting system dynamics, sustainability, land use planning, and innovation. I’m passionate about decision-making for sustainability and climate transformation and helping people envision a sustainable future.

Christina Gkini

I am a PhD candidate at the Centre for the Science of Learning and Technology (SLATE) at the University of Bergen. My work focuses on learning processes in the area of energy transitions, and how those can be facilitated by the tools of the System Dynamics methodology. My background is in Psychology and in System Dynamics and I am very passionate about the many meeting points between the two fields.

Lars-Kristian Lunde Trellevik

I am currently a PhD Fellow in System Dynamics and Deep Sea resource innovation. My academic background is in Geography, Spatial Science and System Dynamics. My professional career has been spent in deep sea operations including deep sea exploration, survey and salvage. I work with group model building and cross-disciplinary sustainable innovation.
